By engaging the diverse academic fields i.e. anthropology, archaeology, sociology, history, heritage studies, ethnomusicology, media studies, political science, gender studies, literature, art, and community development; the proposed conference aims in promoting and contributing towards the integration of knowledge production in society. The idea of “Sindh Studies” is a new and emerging academic field of interest and inquiry for the national and international researchers and faculty members in social sciences, humanities, and liberal arts. The interdisciplinary conference will serve as a forum where national and international academics, researchers, and scholars will discuss and exchange the ideas to improve the subject understanding. The conference will provide opportunity to local, national and international researchers and social scientists to present their scientific research; as a result this will be an opportunity for the faculty members and students of the university to learn from the shared experiences and ideas in their relevant fields of studies. The event will allow to the researchers coming from various fields to present their work and amicably share ideas with researchers in other disciplines, policy-makers, and the public to become aware of the innovative research being generated in their particular subfield. As academics and social scientists, it is important that they share their research findings with people outside of specific discipline to increase the visibility of their research and provide interested individuals with more information. More specifically, the conferences will provide an opportunity to early career researchers from Pakistan to practice their presentation and research skills and can help them to develop the expertise needed to discuss their scientific research in a clear and meaningful way.
